1- Create project specification file that contains elements to be used by all users.

2- Add extended data to these elements such as Notes, unit price and specific color.

3- Users can easily place these elements in the project file using family view palette.

4- These specification files can also be used for future projects.

5-  Standardize the design process across the board. 

6-  If elements are assigned a unit price, the material take-down report will                           automatically calculate the total cost of materials. 

7-  Users do not have to navigate to local folder to load more element types that do            not exist in the project file.
